Thanks to easy availability of seats in engineering, diploma and other degree programs, students now consider ITIs as second or third choice/option! Earlier, ITIs used to be a very popular choice among students who wanted to pursue technical education.
Back then, engineering colleges were far and few in number. ITIs were relatively easy to access. Gaining admission into an ITI was the only option (for many students) back then! But things have changed a lot in the recent past.
This is the age of knowledge and skill development. Whatever the course may be, if it imparts useful skills and knowledge to students, it is well worth pursuing the course.
